Welcome to Empire Learning's sample course! This is a one unit segment of our 8-Hour SAFE Comprehensive course, which we wanted to share so you can test-drive our format before you purchase. All of our user-friendly courses will follow the same format.

We will cover just a few course details before diving into the content.

Course Delivery

All courses are delivered in a convenient, online format that allows your learning to be completed at any time, from anywhere with an internet connection. You can take our mobile-friendly courses on any computer, tablet, or device.

Certificates and Reporting

You will receive a certificate upon completion of any course. Credits are reported every business day to the NMLS. Please note this sample course is not worth any CE credit.

Course Format

Our multimedia courses include text, videos, and interactive exercises. Each unit will have several text sections, interactive exercises, video and key point reviews, and a brief quiz. You'll need to complete every unit to take the final exam (unfortunately they are required). Our one-hour state-specific electives won't have review videos but they are short enough you won't miss them!

Interactive Elements

Most sections will include an interactive element to create a more enjoyable learning experience. These include:

1) Case Studies

The case studies throughout this course bring the content to life with real-world examples related to the information you just learned in that section. At the end of each case study, we will ask two questions to check your understanding of how the law applies in practice.

2) Ask the Audience

The Ask the Audience questions provide a chance to see what your peers think about hot issues in the field via poll questions. After you answer a question, you will be able to see the aggregate answers of other MLOs who have taken this course.

All answers are completely anonymous. If you choose not to answer the question or don't feel it is relevant to you, there will always be a “N/A” option.

3) Fill in the Blanks

These exercises show three sentences with a word or phrase missing. Select from three options the answer that best completes the sentence. You have unlimited attempts and must fill all three blanks correctly to move on.

Review Videos & Section Reviews

Each unit will include a short review video, covering key points.

Following the video, each section will also include a brief text review of all the key points. These section reviews are designed to be study aids for end-of-unit quizzes and the final exam.
